“Linda is an impressive healthcare leader and we recognize her talents and the successful impact she has had on our hospitals in Salt Lake and Phoenix,” noted Dunn. “This is a well-deserved promotion, as Linda not only understands the importance of running fiscally sound and clinically compliant hospitals, she champions our company’s core principles: quality, compassionate patient care, avid support to physicians and patients’ families, and spirited collaboration with area healthcare providers and referral sources.”
Promise hospitals specialize in high acuity long-term hospital care for patients suffering from the most complex of medical conditions. The hospitals’ distinctive LTAC environment provides acute medical care and aggressive therapy services for patients with unresolved, acute, or catastrophic illnesses, as well as multi-organ disease processes who require an average length of stay of 25 days or more. Promise specializes in acute respiratory/pulmonary care (including ventilator management and weaning), infectious disease management (including long-term IV antibiotics), advanced wound management, complex medical management, and treatment for multi-organ failure and post-surgical complications. “Quality” scores at Promise hospitals in Phoenix and Salt Lake consistently outperform national averages, especially for their successful ventilator-weaning program.
The facilities feature private rooms and semi-private rooms, many with telemetry beds; med/surg beds; Intensive Care Units (ICU) and/or High Observation Units (HOU), and isolation rooms. On-site there are wound care suites, rehab/physical therapy gyms, pharmacies, physician conference and break rooms, and administrative offices. Patients receive dialysis on-site in suites (Phoenix) or done bedside (Salt Lake City). At Promise’s Phoenix hospital, rehab/physical therapy areas include an activity room equipped with full kitchen set up, washer and dryer, and other appliances specifically designed for therapists to help patients enhance their independence level by training them on cooking, personal hygiene, grooming, and other activities of daily living. All nursing staff members at both facilities are ACLS certified using a primary RN nursing model for all patients and adherence to strict compliance of benchmark patient safety measures.
